The role
What you'll do
In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting a strong and sustainable fraud control environment by monitoring control performance, analysing trends, and identifying emerging risks or weaknesses. You'll assess risk and impact across operational activity and change initiatives, escalating potential customer, regulatory, or business impacts to appropriate risk partners and stakeholders. Working closely with Fraud Ops, Change, and Technology teams, you'll contribute to the safe delivery of change by ensuring controls, Management Information (MI), and risk mitigations are designed, embedded, and evidenced. You'll also support effective issue management, including preparation for 2nd and 3rd Line reviews, maintaining high standards of control documentation, and sharing knowledge and artefacts to ensure operational resilience.
To succeed, you'll apply a control-focused, analytical mindset to your work, taking ownership of identifying issues, understanding root causes, and following actions through to completion. You'll be comfortable working in a regulated environment, assessing risk, documenting decisions clearly, and raising concerns confidently when standards or controls may be compromised. You'll demonstrate a willingness to embrace change, adopt new tools or processes, and contribute ideas for improvement, which will help you succeed, alongside a genuine commitment to delivering safe, customer-focused outcomes.
