The role

What you'll be doing

This role involves acting as a subject matter expert, providing consultation on knowledge management requests and requirements across Fraud, Financial Crime, and Business Banking processes. A key part of the position is designing and producing process documentation, guides, process maps, and supporting tools that help colleagues deliver effective case handling and customer service. The role also requires maintaining a strong understanding of department processes and ensuring knowledge resources remain accurate, accessible, and relevant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering solutions that improve departmental processes and support the Senior Management Team in achieving optimal performance against both internal objectives and regulatory requirements. This includes staying up to date with legal and regulatory changes that may impact processes and ensuring that the department adapts accordingly to remain compliant and effective.

Building and maintaining strong working relationships is also essential. The role involves collaborating closely with Operational Managers, Senior Leadership, and wider Governance and Strategy teams to understand priorities, manage competing demands, and ensure a joined-up approach to delivering exceptional service across front-line teams. Through effective stakeholder engagement, the role helps drive continuous improvement and consistency across the business.

About you

The minimum requirements for the role are:

  • In depth knowledge of Business Banking, as well as systems and processes
  • Process optimisation or change delivery experience
  • The ability to influence at senior level to obtain agreement and drive changes, enhancing service throughout the fraud teams
  • An understanding of the regulations, compliance and code requirements which govern Economic Crime or Business Banking
  • Ability to identify solutions to complex demands
  • The ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks with a proven track record of delivering against deadlines

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers' shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think - we're honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

  • Push for better - We don't settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
