About the role

Müller is recruiting for a Finished Goods Stock Controller to join our Supply Chain team at Market Drayton.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient control of finished goods inventory, from production through to customer fulfilment. You'll help maintain stock accuracy and traceability, support inventory reporting and investigate discrepancies, while working closely with teams across our operations.

This is a predominantly administration-based role, so while an understanding of stock control or warehousing would be beneficial, we're equally interested in someone who is organised, adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities and has excellent attention to detail.

What you'll be doing

Stock Accuracy & Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate finished goods inventory records through timely processing, error correction and inventory reconciliation.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and support regular stock checks and cycle counts.
  • Monitor stock movements and help identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and reduce errors.

Sales Dispatches & Systems Management

  • Investigate and resolve issues relating to finished goods movements and outbound customer deliveries.
  • Maintain stock and system data across SAP, WMS and other reporting tools.
  • Work with relevant teams to reconcile stock information and maintain inventory accuracy.

Traceability & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate product traceability from production through to finished goods movement.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing stock, traceability and reconciliation information.
  • Ensure stock control activities comply with company procedures and customer requirements.

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Support the accuracy of stock transactions, inventory valuations and related financial records.
  • Investigate reconciliation issues and stock variances, working with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide stock reporting and information to support operational and financial decision-making.

External Storage Management

  • Maintain accurate records for stock held at external storage locations.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory movements between Müller sites and external storage providers.
  • Support the effective management and traceability of externally held stock.

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Management

  • Investigate stock discrepancies and inventory variations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Production, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality, Finance and other teams to improve stock control processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance stock accuracy, compliance and customer service.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Confidence managing multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to learn new processes.
  • Ability to travel weekly from your Market Drayton base to other Müller sites, including Telford and Minsterley.

Desirable

  • Previous experience or understanding of stock control, warehousing, logistics or supply chain.
  • Experience using SAP, WMS, Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience working with stock reconciliation, inventory management or finished goods.
  • Experience within a fast-paced operational or manufacturing environment.

What we offer

  • Up to 5% annual bonus
  • 2 x Life Assurance policy
  • Healthcare cash plan policy
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising with service
  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Family Leave
  • Enhanced Bereavement Leave
  • Pension Employer Contribution Scheme, matched up to 8%
  • Exclusive access to Müller Rewards, offering a variety of online and in-store discounts
  • Concessionary products
  • Career Progression and Development Opportunities

If you're organised, adaptable and comfortable working with detailed stock information and systems, this could be a great opportunity to develop your experience within Müller's Supply Chain operation.
