The role
Technical Business Analyst - Software & Systems Engineering
We are recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to support an exciting, high-profile UK defence programme, contributing to the development and delivery of advanced aerospace and defence capabilities.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Business Analyst or Requirements Analyst who has worked within complex software, systems engineering or digital engineering environments and understands how technical requirements, systems, platforms and engineering teams interact throughout the delivery lifecycle.
You won't necessarily need to come from a hands-on software development background. However, you should be comfortable working alongside Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Architects and other technical stakeholders, with an understanding of the complexities and dependencies involved in delivering integrated engineering solutions.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a technically challenging defence programme, working at the intersection of software delivery, systems engineering and requirements management.
What you'll do
Capture, analyse, document and manage system and software requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Work with technical stakeholders to understand requirements, dependencies and their impact on wider systems.
Maintain requirements traceability, ensuring alignment between stakeholder needs, technical implementation and verification.
Support requirements decomposition, allocation, baselining and change control.
Assess the impact of changes across interconnected systems and software components.
Collaborate with engineering, development and verification teams to maintain consistency and support requirements governance.
Participate in requirements reviews, validation activities and engineering assurance processes.
How you'll work
Location: Reading - 20-50% onsite
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance essential
