The role
-
Due to an increase in work, we are looking for flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our team. The hours are Monday to Friday 16:00 to 22:00. The department is responsible for the cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilising of surgical equipment. No experience necessary as full training is given.
What you'll do
- To work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- To reprocess reusable medical devices in a controlled environment.
- To receive and prepare contaminated equipment for washing through an automated process.
- To reassemble and pack equipment to customer requirements.
- To load equipment into sterilisers and unload.
- To dispatch equipment to theatres, wards and departments
- To safely operate decontamination equipment and undertake routine testing as required.
- To undertake general housekeeping of workstations and dispose of clinical/household waste.
- To report and defects of equipment to Supervisors
- To assist in departmental audits.
- To assist in investigating any non-conformances.
- To undertake any training appropriate to HSDU and to complete all mandatory training.
