ROLE: Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer
SALARY: £47,000 - £50,000 per annum + 10% shift allowance
LOCATION: Central London
HOURS: 42 hours per week | 4 on / 4 off | Predominantly nights

We're looking for an Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer who will deliver Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing across our client sites in Central London.

This role is vital in ensuring electrical safety, compliance, and operational excellence across complex commercial and industrial environments.

Role Responsibilities

Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial electrical installations
Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671
Identify faults, defects, deviations, and non‑compliances within electrical systems
Correctly code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications while maintaining clear and auditable testing records, schedules, and certification
Work in strict compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company procedures

Required Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
City & Guilds 2391‑52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing
Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards, and testing procedures
Ability to produce clear, accurate, professional reports
Full UK driving licence
Full DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance

UK passport holder
Clear 10‑year UK footprint
