The role

The Head of Finance role in the further education sector, based in London, focuses on overseeing the organisation's financial management and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. You'll play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance and supporting the organisation's goals.

What you'll do

Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership to support decision-making.
Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk effectively.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and systems.
Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering strong performance and collaboration.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
Identify opportunities for financial efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Finance should have:

A professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong experience in financial management and leadership roles.
Proven ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior stakeholders.
Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and team management abilities.
Experience within the Further Education sector is essential.
