🚨 Procurement Manager - Public Sector🚨

💷 Up to £520 per day | Inside IR35

I'm currently supporting a large public sector organisation in the search for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their procurement team on an interim basis. This is a hands-on procurement role with a strong focus on pre-procurement planning, market engagement, tender management and stakeholder support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement exercises across a variety of categories.
• Advise stakeholders on appropriate routes to market, including Open Procedures, Competitive Flexible Procedures, Frameworks and PSR procurements.
• Conduct market engagement and procurement strategy development.
• Prepare and publish procurement notices.
• Manage procurement activity through the Proactis e-tendering platform.
• Develop and review tender documentation, evaluation criteria, award reports and business case documentation.
• Manage clarification processes and support supplier engagement throughout tender exercises.
• Facilitate tender evaluations and moderation sessions.
• Provide procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Line manage and support one Procurement Officer.

About You

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end public sector procurement projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act and public sector procurement regulations.
• Experience using e-tendering platforms such as Proactis.
• Confident managing procurement processes from market engagement through to contract award.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Previous Local Government or public sector experience would be highly advantageous
