This is an opportunity to be part of a new service from the beginning, helping to create a safe, consistent and supportive environment where Andy can feel comfortable, build trusting relationships and thrive.
About Andy
Andy is a young gentleman who enjoys getting out into the community, trying different activities and spending quality time with the people who matter to him.
Some of the things he enjoys include:

- Playing mini golf and spending time at the park.
- Visiting cafés and enjoying community activities.
- Spending regular quality time with his family, whom he sees regularly.
Andy will also attend McIntyre's No Limits education provision in Bedford three days per week.
The Role
Andy requires 2:1 support during the day, so you will work alongside a colleague to provide consistent, person-centred support tailored to his individual needs.
Building trust with Andy takes time. Initially, you may experience challenges as he gets to know you and adjusts to his new home. We are therefore looking for people who are patient, emotionally resilient, reliable and consistent in their approach.
You will take the time to understand Andy's preferences, strengths and challenges, helping him feel safe, develop positive relationships and access the activities and experiences he enjoys.
McIntyre will provide Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and self-protection skills training to help equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for the role.
Why Join MacIntyre
This is your chance to help shape a new service, build meaningful relationships and make a genuine difference to a young person's everyday life.
If you believe that patience, compassion, consistency and understanding can help someone flourish, we would love to hear from you.
Join us in creating a home where Andy can feel safe, valued and supported to be himself.
Be part of something new. Build trust. Change lives.
Ready to make a difference? Apply today!
About you
