Touchstone is a multi-award-winning mental health and wellbeing charity operating in communities across Yorkshire. Touchstone understands that we can only deliver excellence to the people we serve if the people we recruit are happy, empowered, supported to reach their potential and trusted to lead.
As Here For You Wakefield expands towards a 24/7 crisis support model, this role represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering overnight service in Wakefield. You will play a vital role in ensuring people can access urgent non-clinical support during the night, when many services are unavailable. The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year alongside emergency services, primary care, statutory services and other third sector community services to provide the most appropriate support for individuals away from A&E and section 136 suites wherever possible.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and values-driven individual with significant experience of supporting people experiencing emotional distress, including those at risk of suicide or self-harm, and a commitment to providing accessible and culturally responsive support to people from diverse communities, including Black and Minority Ethnic and LGBTQ+ communities when they need it the most. Every conversation has the potential to reduce harm, restore hope and create a positive turning point in someone's journey.
