We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Zetland Vets. We currently have both a full-time permanent position and a full-time 12-month fixed-term position available.

You'll be joining a small, friendly and close-knit team, working across our Zetland Road, Stoke Bishop and Fishponds sites. Our practices are well equipped with operating theatre facilities, dental X-ray and an in-house laboratory, providing a varied environment in which to use and develop your nursing skills.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care while supporting excellent experiences for our patients and clients.

You'll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

The role will be predominantly consult-based alongside your wider nursing responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to build strong client relationships while remaining involved in inpatient care, diagnostics, anaesthesia and surgical support.

Working Pattern

* 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days
* Mix of shifts between 8:00am and 8:30pm
* Based at our Fishponds practice
* 8 Saturdays per year, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
* Permanent and 12-month fixed-term opportunities available

Key Responsibilities

* Run nurse clinics and provide a high standard of client care
* Deliver outstanding inpatient nursing care
* Assist with laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
* Monitor anaesthesia and support surgical procedures
* Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider clinical team
* Maintain high standards of patient welfare, clinical hygiene and infection control
* Support the smooth running of the practice across our different sites

We're looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You'll bring:

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice, with confidence across core medical and surgical nursing responsibilities
* Experience working sole charge when required
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively
* A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
* The ability to travel between our Zetland Road, Stoke Bishop and Fishponds sites
