Senior DevOps / Automation Engineer (IBM Z & Hybrid Platforms) We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Automation Engineer to support a large-scale automation and platform modernisation programme spanning IBM Z and distributed environments. This role will focus on designing, building and maintaining resilient automation services, CI/CD pipelines, observability solutions and secure orchestration capabilities across a complex global estate. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure and governance teams, driving automation by design while ensuring solutions are scalable, auditable and production-ready. Experience across DevOps tooling, infrastructure automation, observability, security and enterprise-scale platforms is essential. Required SkillsStrong Python development for production-grade automation, scripting and application development.Extensive experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and enterprise orchestration.Proven expertise in Git-based CI/CD practices, including GitHub workflows and source control governance.Strong Jenkins pipeline development, including Groovy scripting and automation integration.Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases, schemas and operational data stores.Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault and secure secrets management within automated environments.Hands-on experience with Grafana, monitoring, telemetry and observability platforms.Experience with Nexus Repository (or similar) for artefact management and software delivery lifecycle control.Desirable ExperienceIBM Z / zOS environmentsZowe CLI and z/OSMFAPI integrationsConfiguration drift managementInfrastructure-as-Code governanceEnterprise-scale compliance and audit controlsRegulated or highly governed environments Investigo is a leading specialist in SAP recruitment.
