Be Part of Something Life-Changing

Join our growing Lung Cancer Screening Programme and play a vital role in the early detection of lung cancer and other respiratory conditions. Working across our mobile screening locations, you'll help identify patients at risk, support healthier lifestyles, and contribute to a service that is transforming lives through earlier diagnosis and intervention.

This is an excellent opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with patient education, health promotion and autonomous clinic management, all whilst enjoying a compressed working week of just three shifts per week.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of our screening team, you will:

  • Deliver virtual and face-to-face nurse-led clinics as part of the lung health assessment pathway.
  • Carry out comprehensive respiratory assessments and identify patients at increased risk of lung disease.
  • Refer suitable patients for Low-Dose CT scans to support early cancer detection.
  • Provide evidence-based smoking cessation advice and ongoing health education.
  • Promote healthier lifestyle choices and empower patients to take control of their respiratory health.
  • Recognise and escalate safeguarding concerns, red-flag symptoms and medical emergencies appropriately.
  • Maintain professional competencies and complete training requirements, including IRMER and ARTP spirometry accreditation where required.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from nurses who are passionate about preventative healthcare and delivering outstanding patient care.

You'll have:

  • A valid NMC registration
  • At least 2 years' experience caring for patients with respiratory conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using a range of IT systems and clinical software
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and learning
  • A full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel between mobile screening sites
