As a Maitre D (Host) at 11 Cadogan Gardens and The Chelsea Townhouse, the only Relais & Châteaux properties in London, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurants and dining spaces, creating memorable first impressions and ensuring every guest receives a warm, personalised experience. Working across Hans' Bar & Grill and other Food & Beverage outlets as required, you will play a key role in managing the guest journey, building relationships with our guests and local community, and supporting the wider team in delivering exceptional hospitality that encourages guests to return time and time again.

• Act as the welcoming face and ambassador of Hans' Bar & Grill and The Chelsea Townhouse, creating a warm, polished and professional first impression for every guest.
• Manage guest arrivals, greetings, seating arrangements and departures, ensuring every interaction is delivered with care and attention to detail.
• Build strong relationships with hotel guests, local residents and regular patrons, recognising returning guests and helping create personalised experiences.
• Coordinate guest flow throughout service, ensuring tables are managed effectively and guests enjoy a seamless dining experience.
• Support restaurant operations during busy periods, working alongside managers and colleagues to maintain exceptional service standards.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of reservations, table availability, guest preferences and special occasions.
• Communicate guest requirements and preferences effectively with Restaurant, Kitchen, Reception and wider hotel teams.
• Promote the Neighbourhood Card programme and support initiatives that enhance guest loyalty, repeat business and local engagement.
• Respond professionally to guest feedback and concerns, resolving issues wherever possible and escalating as appropriate.
• Develop strong knowledge of menus, promotions, hotel services and local recommendations to confidently assist guests.
• Maintain high presentation standards and consistently demonstrate Company values, policies and service standards.

• Carry out end-of-day closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is properly closed, set for the following service and all operational standards, procedures and security requirements are completed.

• Support managers in maintaining an organised, clean and guest-ready environment throughout service and at close of business.
• Follow all Company procedures and Health & Safety requirements, contributing to a safe and professional working environment.

• A warm, confident and engaging personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Previous experience in a host, Maitre D, guest relations or customer-facing role within hospitality.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create positive guest interactions.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• A proactive and professional approach to problem solving and guest satisfaction.
• The ability to build relationships and create memorable experiences for guests and local patrons.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service standards.
• Flexibility to work across different outlets and both hotel properties when required.
• Good knowledge of London hospitality and local recommendations would be advantageous.
