• An experienced Engineering leader from large hotel

• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, fire safety and compliance requirements

• A hands-on problem solver who can balance operational priorities with long-term planning

• A confident leader who can motivate teams and build strong relationships across the hotel

• Experience managing contractors, projects, budgets and maintenance programmes

• Calm under pressure with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and unexpected issues

Key responsibilities of Head of Engineering and Health & Safety

• Leading all engineering and maintenance operations across the hotel
• Driving preventative maintenance programmes to keep the property in excellent condition
• Taking ownership of health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance
• Leading risk assessments, audits, emergency response planning and accident investigations
• Managing contractors, suppliers and service partners to ensure quality and compliance
• Overseeing departmental budgets, capital projects and energy-saving initiatives
• Developing and inspiring the Engineering team through coaching, training and leadership
• Working closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to support hotel operations
