Smart Meter Engineer

• Provide technical support, training, and workshops to customers on operation, maintenance, and optimisation of smart water metering solutions.
• Deliver second-line technical support by investigating and resolving smart metering and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) incidents, both remotely and in the field.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and third-party technology providers to ensure successful configuration, deployment, and delivery of metering and telecommunications equipment.
• Support testing, pilot installations, proof-of-concept projects, and end-to-end solution validation to achieve customer approval and successful project implementation.
• Contribute to continuous product improvement by providing technical feedback, supporting product demonstrations, and staying informed of industry developments, standards, and best practices.

• Proven experience in a field-based engineering, technical support, or maintenance role, with a strong ability to diagnose faults and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Excellent customer-facing and relationship-building skills, with confidence in delivering technical guidance, training, and support to a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a structured and methodical approach to investigations, testing, and delivering practical solutions.
• Hands-on, self-motivated engineer with a proactive attitude, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across remote and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and IT skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly and adapt quickly to new technologies, products, and digital monitoring systems.
