Care Assistant in Darlington

We're looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team.

• Provide respectful and dignified personal care support, including assistance with daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary preferences and requirements
• Support clients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to care plans
• Assist with light household tasks and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Offer meaningful companionship and engage clients in activities that promote well-being and social connection
• Encourage and support clients in maintaining their independence, routines, and personal preferences
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the wider care team to ensure coordinated and consistent care
• Follow all care plans, protocols, and health and safety procedures with meticulous attention to detail
• Respond promptly and professionally to client needs and concerns
• Maintain accurate and organised records as required by organisational standards
• Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing client needs and circumstances

• Previous professional experience as a Care Assistant is desirable but not essential - compassion and a genuine desire to support our clients is more important.
• Calm, emotionally resilient, and respectful approach to care delivery
• Strong understanding of person-centred care principles, dignity, choice, and individual autonomy
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
• Reliable, punctual, and organised with strong time management skills
• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role safely and effectively
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Willingness to undergo and pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• Commitment to safeguarding and duty of care principles
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to client needs
• Preferred: Basic first aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Preferred: Experience with meal preparation and cooking
• Essential: Valid UK driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
