As a Barback for Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch, you will not only play a vital behind the scenes role in supporting the flawless operation - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day

As a Barback- Whiskey and Seaweed by Clare Smyth, you will play a vital behind‑the‑scenes role in supporting the flawless operation of one of the hotel's most distinctive bar venues. Working in close partnership with Bartenders, you will ensure every service moment is underpinned by meticulous preparation, organisation, and attention to detail-enabling a seamless, elevated guest experience.

Your responsibilities will include performing the following duties with discretion, precision, and professionalism:

• Retrieving beverage and operational supplies from storerooms, verifying stock accurately against requisitions
• Preparing the bar ahead of service by cutting, slicing, and peeling fresh garnishes; mixing juices; and storing back‑up supplies in approved containers
• Supporting Bartenders by stocking and replenishing all bar essentials, including glassware, ice, garnishes, mixers, paper products, condiments, straws, and stirrers
• Transporting taps, changing beer kegs, and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service
• Maintaining immaculate cleanliness and organisation across all bar areas, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage spaces
• Ensuring full compliance with federal, state, local, and company hygiene, safety, and operational standards at all times

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience as a Barback within a luxury hospitality environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• The physical ability to lift, carry, and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs safely through service areas
