Through our Healthcare Advocacy and Navigation Service (HANS), we support individuals and their families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, helping them navigate complex healthcare journeys with confidence, clarity and compassion.
As a HANS Advocacy Nurse Specialist, you'll play a vital role in providing expert clinical advocacy and case management for corporate clients and their eligible family members. You'll build meaningful relationships with the people you support, acting as a trusted guide throughout their healthcare journey and helping them access the right care, at the right time, wherever they are in the world.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team alongside Corporate Physicians and fellow clinical specialists, you'll have the opportunity to influence and improve patient outcomes while developing your expertise in advocacy, case management and service improvement. You'll be joining a team built on collaboration, clinical excellence and genuine compassion.
What you'll do
- Act as a dedicated point of contact for clients and their families, providing advocacy, support and guidance throughout their healthcare journey
- Manage a caseload of complex and sensitive cases, undertaking holistic assessments and coordinating care with healthcare providers
- Support clients in understanding diagnoses, treatment options, healthcare systems and available support services
- Work closely with Corporate Physicians and external healthcare professionals to facilitate timely access to high quality care
- Contribute to service development, education, audit, quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing growth of the HANS provider network
What you'll bring
- Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration
- Significant post registration experience at Band 6 level or equivalent
- Experience supporting patients through complex, serious or life changing health conditions
- Excellent communication, relationship building and case management skills
- The ability to work autonomously, exercise sound clinical judgement and advocate confidently for client needs
