SENIOR CREDIT RISK MANAGER

SALARY UP TO £110,000

HYBRID (3 DAYS PER WEEK IN-OFFICE)

Harnham are working with an innovative UK FinTech lender undergoing an exciting phase of credit transformation and growth. This is a unique opportunity for experienced credit professionals to shape new lending capabilities and drive strategic innovation in a high-impact individual contributor role.

THE ROLE

This role sits at the heart of a major credit transformation programme, focusing on developing new lending opportunities rather than managing day-to-day credit operations. You will take ownership of strategic initiatives from concept through to implementation, helping to shape the future direction of the business.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in:

• Developing new customer segments, lending propositions and distribution channels.
• Identifying opportunities around cross-sell, re-lending and customer value creation.
• Designing and implementing innovative credit strategies and capabilities.
• Building business cases, assessing commercial viability and making data-led recommendations.
• Leading initiatives end-to-end, from concept and strategy through to delivery and BAU handover.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Credit Risk Manager must have the following skills and experience:

• Strong experience within credit risk, lending strategy, pricing or a related function.
• FinTech and consumer lending experience is essential.
• Advanced SQL skills for analysis and decision-making.
• Python experience would be beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to think commercially and develop innovative solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple business functions.
• Comfortable operating in a highly autonomous, individual contributor environment.
• Proven ability to take ownership of initiatives from idea through to measurable business impact.
