What we're looking for

Strong security governance, risk, and compliance experience in secure or regulated environments, including producing assurance documentation and evidence
Experience applying Secure by Design principles and NIST 800 risk assessment methodologies
Experience managing IT health checks, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments through to remediation
Ability to evaluate technical design documentation (HLDs/LLDs) and advise on security risk and controls, including physical, procedural, and personnel security
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience chairing security working groups and producing security awareness material - SC clearance required

What you'll do

Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance on Secure by Design to project staff, and evaluate technical design and implementation documentation (HLDs, LLDs, work instructions) from a security perspective
Conduct and routinely manage security risk assessments and associated security controls using NIST 800 methodologies, and lead mitigation action
Produce security awareness material, briefings, and Security Operating Procedures (SyOPs) for system users and maintainers
Manage third-party CHECK IT health checks, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments, including remediation activities
Organise and chair the project Security Working Group, and identify and communicate current and emerging security threats
Support the Security Architect and Security Engineer to ensure solutions meet Secure by Design and risk tolerance requirements, and align security controls with the wider enterprise security approach
