The role

Ready to take the next step in your career?

Join a sovereign cloud and AI platform that combines the openness of public cloud with the security and control of private environments, making the cloud easier to use, faster to deploy, and fairer to pay for. Offering public cloud, private cloud, and high-performance GPU infrastructure with clear, predictable pricing, it helps organisations innovate while keeping control of their data, infrastructure, and spend.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GPU Infrastructure Support Engineer to act as the frontline operational defence for a global GPU and AI infrastructure fleet. The ideal candidate will triage customer tickets, platform alerts, and hardware faults across GPU nodes, high-speed networking fabrics, and Linux systems, owning incidents end to end and coordinating on-site data centre activity. The role includes a 4-day working week and remote flexibility, with a clear route into senior GPU engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor dashboards and queues to acknowledge, prioritise and triage customer-reported issues and platform alerts within strict SLA targets, providing clear technical updates via ticketing channels and status pages
  • Run first-line diagnostics on GPU nodes using nvidia-smi, DCGM and system logs (dmesg, journalctl), following runbooks and proposing improvements based on incident trends
  • Use IPMI and Redfish to manage bare-metal BMCs, performing power cycles, remote console inspections and system event log extraction
  • Build complete, evidence-rich RMA packages for failed GPUs, DIMMs and storage drives, submitted to vendors promptly after fault confirmation
  • Act as the primary technical contact for data centre facility technicians, directing component reseats, optic replacements and cable testing, while maintaining accurate DCIM and IPAM records (e.g. NetBox)
  • Support customers with SSH access, GPU passthrough checks, Slurm queue status and container runtime issues, and deliver clean shift handovers and evidence-rich escalations to Senior GPU Infrastructure Engineers

Skills/Must have

  • Experience 2-4+ years in IT infrastructure support, service desk or data centre operations within a structured, customer-facing environment
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of server hardware and Linux; strong CLI skills (systemd, permissions, storage mounts, ip, ping, traceroute, netstat); working knowledge of NVIDIA GPU servers, nvidia-smi and basic DCGM health checks
  • Familiarity with server architecture (PCIe, NVMe, memory topology) and out-of-band management (iDRAC, iLO, BMC via IPMI/Redfish); working understanding of ITIL-style incident management and ticket lifecycle
  • Exceptional written communication, able to turn complex logs into clear customer updates and escalation notes; methodical, organised, step-by-step approach to isolating faults. Comfortable working in a 24/7 operations environment

Desirable Skills

  • Slurm or Kubernetes (kubectl basics)
  • Basic awareness of high-performance networking concepts (InfiniBand, RoCEv2, RDMA)
  • Linux certifications (RHCSA, CompTIA Linux+) or Kubernetes foundations (CKA/KCNA)

Benefits

  • 4-day working week (excluding event attendance)
  • Uncapped holiday
  • Remote-first working with flexibility and autonomy
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Inclusive, collaborative culture
