Transport First Line Manager

Join GXO as a Transport First Line Manager (FLM) supporting the Costa contract at Sherburn. Leading a team of drivers, you'll play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient and customer-focused transport operation. From managing driver performance and fleet compliance to driving operational improvements and controlling costs, you'll help ensure we continue to deliver first-class service to our customer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with transport experience looking to take the next step into leadership.

• Lead and support a team of drivers to achieve operational and service targets
• Monitor transport compliance, including Driver Hours, WTD and Operator Licence requirements
• Manage driver performance, absence, conduct and development activities
• Track transport KPIs, costs and fleet performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Promote a strong culture of health & safety, food safety and exceptional customer service

This is a full time, permanent, position working 4 from 8 days, 06:00 to 18:00

• Previous experience within a transport or logistics operation
• Knowledge of transport legislation, Driver Hours and Working Time Directive requirements
• Strong communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others
• Good IT skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
• CPC qualification or willingness to work towards one would be advantageous
