Requirements

Education & certifications

A valid UK Class 1 Licence.
A current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
Experience with vacuum tankers or wastewater (beneficial, but full training will be provided).
Strong organisational skills and confidence working to deadlines.
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
A confident, polite manner and a strong team spirit.
Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
A hardworking, self‑motivated attitude suited to the demands of the role.

The role

The Role: Class 1 Driver

What you'll do

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

Carry out collections and deliveries of liquid sludge throughout the region.
Navigate a high proportion of rural routes due to the nature of collection locations.
Plan your routes daily to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
Maintain regular communication with the transport team to provide progress updates and support excellent customer service.
Interact with customers both face-to-face and over the phone, delivering a professional and positive service experience.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

How you'll work

Location: Cullompton
Shift: Monday to Friday, including 1 in 3 Saturdays
