Ready to lead a kitchen with character?

Are you a passionate Head Chef who loves creating great food, leading a team and bringing out the best in others? At The Pickerel Inn, we're looking for a driven and enthusiastic Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen and deliver fantastic food in a pub full of history and personality.

Dating back to 1608, The Pickerel Inn is one of Cambridge's historic pubs, serving up traditional British pub favourites in a unique setting. We're looking for someone who can bring their own flair, maintain high standards and create a kitchen team that takes pride in every plate.

Job Description

What you'll be doing

Leading, motivating and developing your kitchen team to deliver their best every day.
Taking ownership of food quality, presentation and consistency across every service.
Managing kitchen standards, food safety, health and hygiene.
Keeping control of stock, ordering, waste and kitchen costs.
Creating a positive kitchen culture where teamwork, passion and great food come first.
Working closely with the General Manager to drive performance and deliver an excellent guest experience.
