The role

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub, helping to deliver great service, develop your team and drive business performance.

What you'll do

Lead from the front: Motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent hospitality and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Help run a busy pub: Support the General Manager with daily operations, leading shifts and keeping everything running smoothly.
Put guests first: Make every visit memorable, whether guests are enjoying a family meal, catching the match or relaxing in the beer garden.
Drive results: Help manage sales, labour costs, stock and profitability, making the most of opportunities to grow the business.
Develop your people: Coach and support team members, helping them build confidence and progress in their careers.
Maintain high standards: Take pride in cleanliness, safety, compliance and the overall presentation of the pub.
Build a great team culture: Create a positive environment where people feel supported, valued and motivated.

Personal Licence

As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager's absence, you'll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don't need to have one when you apply. If you're successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
