Goodman Masson is currently working with a public sector organisation in London to recruit for an Interim Repairs Manager

Rate: £400 - £450 a day INSIDE IR35 Umbrella

Are you an experienced housing repairs leader looking for an opportunity to shape service delivery and improve outcomes for residents?

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Repairs Manager to lead a public sector responsive repairs service and provide oversight of their legal disrepair function. This key management role will focus on delivering high-quality repairs, driving contractor performance, improving customer satisfaction, and reducing disrepair claims through effective service management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance services.
• Manage and oversee the disrepair function, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
• Drive service improvements and performance against key targets.
• Manage contractor performance, quality standards and value for money.
• Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team.
• Manage complex resident cases, complaints and escalations.
• Monitor budgets and ensure effective financial control.

About You

• Significant experience managing housing repairs or property maintenance services.
• Strong contract and contractor management experience.
• Knowledge of housing disrepair and landlord responsibilities.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing budgets and performance targets.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer outcomes.
