The role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, Autism and ADHD helping them to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. This role requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to promoting the dignity and well-being of those you support.

What you'll do

Provide emotional, physical, and social support tailored to the individual needs of service users.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Encourage and support individuals in participating in community activities, hobbies, and social events.
Work with service users to set and achieve personal goals.
Encourage skill development in areas such as budgeting, cooking, and self-care.
To support residents while away on any planned holidays
Ensure the safety and well-being of service users at all times.
Administer medication (where required) and follow health care plans.
Respond to emergencies and incidents in a calm and professional manner.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals involved in the care of service users.
Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care and share best practices.
Attend training and team meetings as required.

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
