The role

GLL is looking for passionate Tennis Coaches to join our team at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Coach our busy indoor and outdoor tennis classes. Working in world-class facilities, including top-class indoor and outdoor courts, modern changing rooms and welcoming social spaces, you'll play a key role in helping players of all ages develop their tennis skills. Deliver fun, inspiring and engaging group sessions as part of a supportive coaching team, while contributing to a positive and inclusive tennis programme. You could also have the opportunity to grow your own coaching business at this iconic venue by delivering private lessons during weekday daytimes.

We are initially looking for a coach who can cover our Sunday classes from 09:00 - 16:00.

There are also opportunities for coaching our classes on regular evening sessions or occasional holiday cover.

You'll be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where players can learn, develop and enjoy the game. By delivering energetic, encouraging sessions, you'll help participants build confidence, master fundamental skills and achieve their personal goals. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing players progress through your coaching.

We're looking for approachable, reliable coaches with the patience and enthusiasm to inspire people of all ages and abilities. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, building strong relationships with players and encouraging them to achieve their potential. With your LTA Level 2 or above, you'll be confident delivering high-quality sessions across a range of ages and abilities, from young beginners to experienced adults.

What you'll do:

  • Coach our Sunday classes including kids' Red, Orange and Green sessions, plus adult improver/intermediate and a Cardio session.

  • Deliver outstanding tennis coaching while maintaining a welcoming, professional and positive experience for all customers.

  • Work collaboratively with the coaching team to deliver a consistent, high-quality tennis programme.

  • Uphold the commitments outlined in the Customer Charter and maintain the highest service standards.

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, following all relevant operating procedures and safeguarding policies.

  • Encourage players to continue their development by enrolling on additional courses and programmes.

  • Record player progress and complete relevant awards in line with programme standards.

  • Maintain LTA Coach Accreditation (and be qualified to Level 2 as a minimum)

  • Maintain an enhanced DBS with the Government Update Service

As a leader in the leisure industry, we can offer excellent opportunities for career development, professional support and a varied coaching role unlike anywhere else.

Salary: 17.88
