The role
A bit about us
At Gamma we provide voice, data, and mobile solutions to businesses across the UK, Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. When you join us, you'll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that's transforming how businesses connect and communicate globally.
We're growing fast, but we never lose sight of what matters: our people. Whether you're looking to develop your skills, take on new challenges, or make a meaningful impact, Gamma is the place to do it.
What is the role responsible for?
Reporting to the Procurement and Facilities Director, you'll take the lead on key Health & Safety programs and activities across Gamma's European entities. Activities will include, but not be limited to, country safety compliance (incl. site audits), risk management frameworks, incident reporting, and health and safety policy management. You will be seen as a subject matter expert on all things Health & Safety. Not only will you be expected to support colleagues across Gamma's European business, resolving queries and solving problems, you will play a pro-active role in developing Gamma's international H&S proposition and continuing to build the profile of H&S across Gamma.
What will you be doing day-to-day?
Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with:
To prepare the health and safety strategy and annual plan of work for health and safety, ensuring it is consistent with and supportive of Gamma's strategy and objectives.
Lead on the delivery of local health and safety compliance across Gamma's European entities, ensuring the successful implementation of relevant statutory interventions.
Manage health, safety, and occupational environment initiatives in a consistent manner across Europe, in line with Company objectives.
Monitor statutory health and safety and fire safety requirements including new regulations and standards. To identify and inform Gamma leadership and management on the actions necessary to ensure Gamma complies with its statutory health and safety duties.
To ensure health and safety policies and procedures are suitable, appropriate, and proportionate to Gamma's needs, and effectively satisfy statutory requirements, leading on their consultation with, and communication to staff.
Responsible for reviewing and evaluating the content of all health and safety training across Gamma as well as reviewing the success and management of occupational health and wellbeing programs across Europe.
To manage the health and safety budget effectively, ensuring that activities remain within budget.
Will work closely with facilities teams, administering safety audits and compliance reporting across Gamma, including ensuring any remedial actions identified via internal or external audits are undertaken.
Own H&S data: you'll provide high-quality data analysis and be able to translate it into a story, making recommendations on next steps. You'll create risk models and undertake reporting, working closely with our data experts in the People Ops team.
What you'll bring
You don't need experience in everything listed-but we're especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:
Material Health & Safety experience is expected. This is ideally gained in a pan-geographic role.
A degree or equivalent.
Strong technical proficiency in safety management software and report preparation.
NEBOSH International Diploma, IOSH membership, or equivalent professional health & safety qualification is desirable.
German or Spanish is desirable though not essential.
What do we offer you?
25 days annual leave + birthday
Subsidised private medical insurance
5.1% matched pension contributions
Enhanced parental leave
Life assurance and Income protection
Share save and incentive plans
Electric Vehicle and Cycle scheme
Employee discounts
