The role

Role Overview:
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Glass Collector / Barback to join our team. In this vital role, you will work behind the scenes and on the floor to support our bartenders and ensure our guests enjoy a clean, fast-paced, and welcoming environment. This is an excellent entry-level position into the hospitality industry with opportunities to learn and progress.
Key Responsibilities
Floor & Glassware Management
  • Collect empty glasses, bottles, and plates from tables and the bar top promptly.
  • Wash, polish, and restock glassware continuously to ensure bartenders never run out during peak periods.
  • Clear away trash, wipe down sticky surfaces, and clean up accidental spills or broken glass immediately.
Bar Support & Restocking
  • Restock the bar fridges and shelves with beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks.
  • Change empty beer kegs and gas cylinders safely when they run out.
  • Keep ice bins fully loaded and replenish essentials like straws, napkins, and coasters.
  • Help prepare drink garnishes (cutting fresh lemons, limes, and other fruit) before and during the shift.
Opening & Closing Duties
  • Assist with setting up the bar before opening or packing down at the end of the night.
  • Empty rubbish and recycling bins, and sweep/mop the floors behind and in front of the bar.
