• Own RFQs, cost breakdowns, and technical-commercial evaluations
• Drive should-cost modelling and cost-down initiatives
• Act as the technical procurement interface to component manufacturers, distributors, and EMS/CM partners
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, MOQs, capacity commitments, and technical constraints
• Support supplier audits, capability assessments, and qualification activities
• Work closely with suppliers to resolve technical, quality, or supply issues
• Support NPI sourcing from concept through production, including BOM cost roll-ups and sourcing readiness
• Partner with design engineering to influence component selection for availability, lifecycle, and risk
• Manage PCNs, EOLs, and last-time-buy strategies in collaboration with engineering and operations
• Support ECO implementation and component transitions
• Identify and mitigate risks related to single-source components, long lead times, and constrained supply
• Develop alternate sourcing and dual-source strategies
• Support buffer strategies and supply continuity planning
• Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, and programme teams
• Provide clear reporting on cost, supplier performance, supply risks, and mitigation plans
• Mentor junior procurement or supply chain engineers as required

• Strong technical judgement applied to sourcing and procurement decisions
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Analytical mindset with experience in cost modelling and BOM analysis
• Ability to influence engineering and operations without direct authority
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel
