Data Engineer

At Fit Collective, we are building a data aggregation layer as the foundation of our fit insights platform. This involves gathering raw data from e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Woocommerce, etc.), return platforms (Zigzag, Swap, Loopt, etc.), reviews (Bazaarvoice, Yotpo, etc.), and other open/private datasets. Once the raw data is collected, courtesy of Airbyte, we clean, match, and combine it all into our base data model with the help of dbt, and then store it in PostgreSQL on AWS.

We further enhance this data using data science, AI APIs, and our own models.

Our customers access the output of this work via our web app (React + FastAPI). Additional analytics are provided by GoodData.com.

At the core, data drives our efforts, and engineering powers its progression.

So far, our small team has managed everything as generalists, but now we seek to strengthen our capabilities with more specialized skills - perhaps yours!

Workwise, we are fully distributed, but we meet in London twice a month for in-person interactions.
