Requirements

What we're looking for

Do you have a Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair?
Do you have experience working on HGV or PSV?
Do you have a valid UK driving licence?
Do you also have a strong attention to detail and a passion for mechanics?

£20.35-£21.61 per hour (depending on shift)
Varying shifts available - we are open to discussing working patterns with you!
Weekend premium rate available
Minimum 39 hours per week

In this hands-on role, you'll keep vehicles running safely and reliably by diagnosing faults, completing mechanical repairs and replacing parts when needed. You'll carry out scheduled servicing, routine inspections and preventative maintenance, as well as responding to on-road breakdowns and recoveries. You'll also road test vehicles where required and make sure all documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulations and health and safety standards.

Position: PSV/HGV Mechanic

Location: Searle Cres, Weston-Super-Mare BS23 3XP

We are now looking for an NVQ Level 3 (or C&G equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic to join the busy team at First Bus Weston-Super-Mare Depot - PSV or HGV mechanical experience is great however we love to hear from ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other automotive sectors looking for a change.
