· Supporting events, exhibitions, and school holiday activities

· Leading interactive sessions with young people and community groups

· Working alongside staff and volunteers to deliver cultural programming

This is a hands-on role involving a mix of physical tasks (including cleaning, manual handling, occasional working at height) and desk-based work. Flexibility, initiative, and a friendly approach are key!

Shifts & Schedule

· The museum is open to the public Thursday to Saturday 11am to 4pm - during school holidays the museum extends its operations

· Casual positions with shifts based on service needs

· Saturday working is essential

· Extra shifts are available during school holidays and for weekday education programmes (delivered Monday to Friday)

· Flexibility to work at short notice is desirable

Whether you're building experience in the heritage sector or bringing a wealth of public-facing know-how, we value diverse skills and backgrounds. You will need Food Hygiene Level 2 and First Aid qualifications, or be willing to complete training, and hold recognised Maths and English qualifications.
