The role

Job Description

Ready to bring clarity to complex technology delivery and help teams deliver digital products that matter? Do you enjoy balancing competing priorities, influencing senior stakeholders and helping teams work together more effectively? At EDF, Success is Personal, and this is your opportunity to shape how technology delivery happens across a growing digital portfolio.

The Opportunity

As a Release Train Engineer within BWS Technology, you'll play a key role in coordinating delivery across digital platforms, customer channels and technology services. You'll help teams turn ambitious plans into successful outcomes while supporting EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain.

You'll join a hybrid team working across #London, the #SouthEast and the #SouthWest. You'll collaborate with product, engineering, architecture and business teams to balance demand, capacity and delivery priorities.

This is a highly visible role where you'll help shape delivery decisions, improve ways of working and create greater structure across a complex technology landscape. You'll be empowered to challenge the status quo, introduce best practice and help teams deliver value more effectively.

Who You Are

We're looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer or technology delivery professional who enjoys creating structure, building alignment and driving successful delivery outcomes. You'll be confident operating in complex environments where priorities, risks and dependencies need careful management. Are you experienced in...?

  • Leading technology or digital delivery across multiple teams and workstreams
  • Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe
  • Programme Increment planning, release planning and delivery governance
  • Managing dependencies, risks, capacity planning and delivery forecasting
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and supporting prioritisation decisions
  • Working within complex technology environments and matrix organisations
  • Coordinating digital products, platforms or technology services
  • Delivering IT or digital projects with proven delivery leadership experience

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate delivery across multiple teams, products and technology services
  • Lead Programme Increment planning, release planning and cross-team delivery activities
  • Manage delivery capacity, dependencies, risks and forecasting to support informed decision-making
  • Provide clear visibility of delivery progress, milestones and delivery confidence to stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, governance and ways of working

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a salary starting at circa £70,000, potential for an annual bonus and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That's why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that's unique to you. Here, Success is Personal - it's your journey, powered by us.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we're committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.
