The role

You turn complex fleet choices into clear, commercially smart decisions.

You bring deep airline fleet planning experience, analytical rigour and the confidence to challenge assumptions. If you want to shape how a major European airline plans, sources and manages its aircraft and engines, this is your opportunity.

Fleet Planning is an increasingly critical capability for easyJet as the scale, complexity and strategic importance of fleet-related decisions continue to grow. To support this evolution, we are investing in additional senior capability to strengthen and modernise the function.

Working closely with the Head of Fleet Planning and Procurement, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape both fleet strategy and the future of fleet planning itself. The successful candidate will help enhance analytical capability, evolve planning processes, strengthen decision-making and expand the insights that support strategic fleet decisions.

Supporting a fleet of more than 360 aircraft across easyJet's three airlines, the role will influence fleet strategy, capital allocation, supplier engagement and asset lifecycle management. You'll play a key role in building a more advanced, data-driven and technology-enabled fleet planning capability, balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery to drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

What you'll do

Fleet planning, strategy and decision support:

· As part of the Fleet Planning team, develop and maintain short, medium and long-term fleet plans that optimise fleet utilisation, operational performance, capital deployment and long-term value creation.

· Build, evaluate and communicate fleet planning scenarios and recommendations that support strategic and commercial decision-making across the airline.

· Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify and assess aircraft and engine acquisition opportunities, develop robust business cases for ownership and lifecycle economic decisions, and support fleet optimisation and simplification through the evaluation of aircraft exit, replacement and transition opportunities.

· Support easyJet's strategic planning process, including the development of long-term fleet assumptions and financial plans in partnership with Finance and other stakeholders.

· Provide analytical support and recommendations for fleet procurement activities, supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing decisions.

· Produce clear, accurate and evidence-based outputs that support decision-making across multiple business functions and senior stakeholder groups.

· Ensure fleet planning recommendations appropriately balance commercial, operational, financial and technical considerations.

· Develop robust business cases and strategic evaluations that support investment decisions and long-term fleet strategy.

Fleet planning capability development and continuous improvement:

· Expand fleet planning methodologies incorporating aircraft and engine lifecycle management, ownership economics and broader asset value optimisation considerations.

· Drive the continued evolution of fleet planning processes, tools, governance frameworks and decision-support capabilities, aligning them with industry best practice.

· Strengthen analytical rigour, challenge and scrutiny into planning assumptions, scenario generation and strategic recommendations.

· Develop and maintain robust governance and documentation standards, ensuring key decisions, assumptions and supporting evidence are appropriately captured, retained and readily accessible.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and decision quality through standardisation, simplification and automation.

· Apply advanced analytics, optimisation techniques and AI-enabled decision-support tools to enhance planning capability, scenario modelling and business insight.

· Partner closely with Information Technology and other business functions to ensure systems, data structures and planning processes remain fit for purpose and responsive to evolving requirements.

· Establish and embed continuous improvement disciplines, using lessons learned and stakeholder feedback to improve planning effectiveness over time.

· Contribute to the long-term roadmap for fleet planning capability development, helping establish best-in-class practices and strengthen in-house expertise.

· Build strong relationships across the airline and act as a trusted partner to the senior management and stakeholders in Strategy, Network, Finance, Flight Operations, Engineering & Maintenance and other key functions.

· Present complex analysis and recommendations clearly and confidently to senior executives and governance forums, including the AMB where required.

· Lead and influence complex cross-functional initiatives, often operating in ambiguous environments and balancing competing priorities.

· Support the continued development of fleet planning capability by sharing expertise, championing best practice and fostering a culture of analytical excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
