Dimensions is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in North Hykeham.

The role

At Dimensions, every day is a chance to make a real difference. Guided by courage and ambition, we promise you purpose in your work, pride in your impact, and support to grow. Together, we'll create lives filled with joy, independence, and unforgettable experiences. Because when every day matters, the work we do truly changes lives.

  • Male Support Worker
  • 28 hours per week.
  • £13.45 per hour
  • North Hykeham, Lincoln, LN6
  • Full UK driving licence essential (Must be able to drive an automatic car)

We're looking for a Male Support Worker to join a supported living home in North Hykeham, where four men aged between their 30s and mid-60s share a home filled with humour and laughter. The gentlemen you'll support enjoy an active lifestyle, including cinema trips, football clubs, discos, gardening, and swimming. One person swims twice a week, so you'll need to be confident in the water and happy to get involved. You'll also support them to attend appointments and social events, often driving their automatic vehicles to help them enjoy the things they love.

This is supported living, meaning every day you'll be empowering people to live life on their terms. You'll support with daily routines such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, mobility, and building independence.

Shift pattern: Rolling rota including 8am-9pm, 1:30pm - 10pm, 4.30pm-10pm shifts with regular sleep-ins (usually two per week). This role will include regular weekends. An example of the rota will be provided at the shortlisting stage.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Assertive, upbeat, and fully present.
  • A great communicator who builds rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable with humour - laughter is a big part of daily life in this home.
  • Confident in the water (supporting weekly swims).
  • Able to drive an automatic car (essential).

Experience isn't essential, what matters is the right values, attitude, and willingness to be part of a close-knit team.

Rewards that make a difference

  • Competitive Pay - Attractive hourly rates and permanent contracts.
  • Generous Annual Leave - 30 days (including bank holidays), rising to 35 days with service (pro rata).
  • Pension Scheme - Employer and employee contributions.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - 24/7 confidential wellbeing support for you and your family.
  • Health and Wellbeing Benefits - Access to Aviva Health, discounted health cash plans, and salary advance schemes.

  • Additional Perks - Bike-to-work scheme, season ticket loans, holiday buy/sell options, and refer-a-friend bonus (£500).
  • Inclusive Culture - Disability Confident Leader status and reasonable adjustment support
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by Dimensions.
