The role

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Bid Excellence Manager to join our Bid Excellence team, which sits at the heart of DHL Supply Chain's biggest growth opportunities across the UK & Ireland. You will help shape proposals for customers across a wide range of sectors, turning complex challenges into clear, persuasive and differentiated bid responses.

This is a role with real variety, visibility and development potential. You'll work alongside Sales and central functions such as Solutions Design, Finance and Operations, working with stakeholders at all levels as opportunities move from early capture through to final submission.

You'll be joining a supportive, high-performing team that gives you the chance to learn quickly, build your confidence and develop a career in bid strategy, proposal development and customer storytelling.

We're looking for someone who is motivated, curious and confident asking questions; someone who enjoys getting under the skin of customer challenges and bringing fresh thinking to the way we shape winning proposals.

What you'll do

  • Support the development of compelling customer-centric proposals and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver high-quality bid submissions
  • Partner with our sales colleagues from early capture and pursuit stages through to submission to understand customer challenges, identify differentiators and build persuasive proposals
  • Create clear, engaging, impactful bid responses and shape overall bid narrative to ensure a consistent story runs through each submission
  • Work closely with SMEs to turn complex information into easy to understand content and contribute ideas that improve how we approach each bid.
  • Support the continuous development of bid content, helping raise standards across the function and organisation.
  • Support the development and upskilling of bid experts within the organisation through the ownership of internal projects.

How you'll work

Grade: RCS K
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Location: Remote but with travel to UK sites - primarily the Midlands.

✅YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF

  • You love writing and creating compelling content
  • Are curious and enjoy getting to understand challenges and want to be involved in opportunities that make real impact.
  • Are comfortable challenging ideas and being challenged in return.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve how things are done.
  • Want to build a career in bidding and bid strategy.
