The role

Company Description

We are the tech company behind the media and sporting moments that matter.

Over four decades, Deltatre has grown to employ more than 1,000 experts worldwide.

We're trusted by the biggest broadcasters, telcos, media companies, sport governing bodies, leagues, and federations.

Our products, innovation, dependability, and people continue to redefine how the value of live and on-demand sport, film, TV, and news content is maximized across streaming, digital, data, graphics, officiating, and through marketplace strategy and growth services.

Position

This role is offered on a UK employment contract. Candidates must be based in the UK as we are unable to support remote working from outside the country due to local employment and tax legislation.

Position

Deltatre builds the platforms behind some of the world's most-watched sports and entertainment organizations. This role sits within our delivery organization, with open positions in both our OTT and Digital delivery teams. OTT covers the streaming platforms and apps fans use to watch live and on-demand content; Digital covers the websites, apps, and publishing tools that keep fans connected between events. In either team, you'll work alongside designers, engineers, and technologists to deliver experiences used by millions of fans.

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams through complex, multi-disciplinary delivery, owning everything from sprint execution and project financials to client relationships and pre-sales scoping. You'll be the central point of alignment between client objectives, delivery execution, and commercial outcomes. We'll talk through which team, OTT or Digital, best matches your background during the process.

Responsibilities

Delivery execution
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex OTT or Digital projects, from kickoff through launch and post-launch support
  • Keep delivery aligned with client objectives and with the quality of the end-user experience
  • Translate client business objectives into measurable delivery outcomes that feed into account and portfolio strategy
  • Facilitate sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives, and act on what they surface to improve how the team delivers
  • Lead post-launch reviews to measure operational stability and feed learnings back into project, product, and account roadmaps
Financial and commercial ownership
  • Track team velocity, project financials (P&L), and KPIs against the project plan
  • Create and maintain project plans, budgets, and reporting documentation
  • Report on project performance across delivery speed, scope, quality, and cost
  • Protect project margins through disciplined change control
  • Contribute to pre-sales and scoping, including effort and cost estimates, RFIs, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Communication and stakeholder management
  • Act as the central point of communication between internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and clients
  • Provide clear, timely updates through regular reporting, standups, and client-facing reviews
  • Maintain dependency plans across sprints, infrastructure, and third-party integrations
  • Build working relationships with client stakeholders and executive sponsors, from onboarding through to support
Team leadership and governance
  • Run daily standups and end-of-sprint retrospectives, coaching the team on agile practices
  • Keep project artifacts (RACI matrix, RAID log, change requests, communication plans) current and accessible
  • Set up governance cadences, steering committees, and milestone gates that keep projects aligned with business strategy
  • Mentor and coach junior project managers and coordinators
Requirements

This is the experience that will help you hit the ground running.

Required
  • 3+ years' experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary technology projects of up to 12 months, with budgets above $500,000
  • Hands-on experience applying Agile and Scrum to manage development teams and deliver technology projects on time and within scope
  • Experience aligning delivery outcomes with client business goals, and managing change control, risk, and project profitability
  • Enough technical understanding to discuss architecture, integrations, and estimates with engineers, and to explain the trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of the Atlassian suite, especially Jira and Confluence, for workflows, documentation, and sprint tracking
  • Fluent written and spoken English, adapting how you communicate to audiences from engineering teams to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in an international or distributed organization, collaborating across time zones and cultures
  • Experience mentoring team members and sharing knowledge across a delivery team
  • Examples of process improvements you've introduced without formal authority, including where scope or priorities were unclear
Valued
  • Background in OTT, video streaming, or digital media projects
  • Experience delivering websites, apps, or content platforms for sports, media, or entertainment organizations
  • Experience delivering projects for sports federations, leagues, or tournament organizers
  • Experience in a digital agency or professional services delivery environment
  • Experience contributing to professional services engagements, RFIs, and SOW generation

Who Thrives Here

This role sits at the intersection of delivery discipline and client relationship. You're accountable for the sprint plan and the P&L in the same week you're presenting trade-offs to an executive sponsor. It suits someone who treats governance as something that protects delivery quality, not paperwork for its own sake.

People who do well here move between the detail (a slipping estimate, a RAID log that needs updating) and the bigger picture (what this project means for the account relationship). When they spot a gap in how the team works, they name it, propose a fix, and bring the team along with them.
