Early Careers Recruitment Assistant Manager

Join our award-winning Early Careers Recruitment Team as an Early Careers Recruitment Assistant Manager on an initial short term basis. Our team is dedicated to delivering a best-in-class experience and enhancing the firm's diversity. The team comprises c. 30 in-house individuals and is supported by a recruitment process outsource (RPO) for screening and scheduling. As an Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for Early Careers programmes within a specific business area. This will involve strategically managing talent pipelines to meet recruitment demands while upholding diversity, commercial viability, and a positive candidate experience.

1. Hire diverse Early Careers talent across an array of student programmes, while delivering a leading experience for both candidates and business stakeholders.
2. Manage recruitment delivery for a given business area(s), ensuring effective campaign planning, ongoing pipeline management, providing direction to the RPO team to execute outcomes, overseeing the delivery of final stage assessment events and onboarding new joiners.
3. Own relationships with senior business stakeholders to determine hiring demand and provide regular recruitment updates.
4. Enable the delivery of our Early Careers Talent Engagement strategy by facilitating work experience events, attending careers fairs and school events and delivering presentations to prospective applicants.
5. Monitor diversity in pipelines from application through to offer, identify and implement strategic interventions where necessary to achieve the firm's diversity targets.
6. Execute and contribute to post-offer engagement plans to retain top talent and ensure a high-class candidate experience.
7. Contribute to cross-functional teamwork, including supporting projects and initiatives outside of your business area.

Location: Edinburgh and Glasgow only. Travel to the office on an adhoc basis may be required

Contract Start Date: 11 November 2026 or asap

1. Delivery of Early Identification Programmes (e.g. Discover Tech, ASPIRE, Career Shapers): Successfully manage and deliver assigned Early ID programmes, including recruitment support, event execution, and post-programme conversion activities, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines and candidate volume targets.
2. Programme Analysis & Reporting: Conduct conversion analysis, performance insights and reporting on outcomes to inform continuous improvement and future programme delivery.
3. Event and programme delivery (e.g. on campus, in office, virtual with associated management of delivery partnerships)
