Stores Operative (Food Manufacturing)

4 on 4 off Shift Pattern, 06:00-18:00 (A Shift)

38.5hrs average per week

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.9 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to be based at our Preston site - our primary pork facility within the Hull and East Riding region.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to)

• Ensure that all components (packaging and ingredients) and equipment (baskets and dollies) are available for production to meet their needs
• Ensure Production returns are received in a serviceable condition that does not compromise food safety
• Ensure stocks are maintained with a high degree of accuracy
• Count stock daily
• Inform the Stores Supervisor or Senior Supervisor of any replenishment needs
• Ensure stock issues are made as per company policy & procedure
• Assist with the issue and return of ingredients
• Always maintain store security
• Ensuring that all stores' areas always kept clean and tidy
• Complete all relevant paperwork correctly in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that all items of packaging and ingredients carry the correct labelling and documentation

• Experience in a similar role - stores operative, stores person, warehouse operative, intake operative
• Strong awareness of health and safety in the workplace
• Attention to detail
• Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
