At Cranswick Gourmet Sausage, we produce premium British sausages and food products for some of the UK's biggest retailers. We're looking for a detail-focused and motivated Specifications Writer to ensure customer specifications, artwork, pack copy, and technical documentation are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

What you'll be doing:

• Creating and maintaining customer and internal specifications.
• Reviewing artwork and pack copy to ensure compliance with current food labelling legislation.
• Managing specification systems and databases, including Dimaco.
• Supporting product launches, customer meetings, audits, and site visits.
• Keeping HACCP, TACCP, allergen matrices, and quality documentation up to date.
• Driving continuous improvements across specification processes.
• Working closely with Technical, NPD, Process, and Customer teams.

What we're looking for:

✔ Experience writing specifications within a food manufacturing environment
✔ Good knowledge of food labelling legislation and retailer requirements
✔ Experience using retailer specification systems and web-based platforms
✔ Food labelling qualification or equivalent industry experience
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✔ Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
