Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: Sherburn-in-Elmet

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: 5pm-5am (2on-2off, 3on-2off, 2on-3off)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nights Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the Engineering team at Cranswick Gourmet Bacon. You will be responsible for maintaining machinery, plant, and systems to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production. Working closely with Production, Operations, and Quality teams, you will play a key role in ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair FMCG machinery and equipment
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
• Provide accurate updates and communication to other departments
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Candidate Requirements
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (apprentice trained preferred)
• FMCG machinery experience
• Minimum Level 2 in Food Safety
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and deliver results
• Reliable, motivated, and a strong team player
