What we're looking for
- recent experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. a role in Procurement, Commercial, Category or Contract Management
- completion of PA23 training
- strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- track record of delivering savings (value for money) and compliance in the Public Sector - ideally exposure to using Frameworks and running Open Procedure procurements would be advantageous
Nice to have
- ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS status
The role
Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client based in London who are looking for 2 x Assistant Category Managers. These roles are permanent job opportunities offering a salary ranged from £56,000 up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits which include a Public Sector Pension and 27 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays). This role will operate on a hybrid basis with the expectation to be on-site 3 days per week.
What you'll do
Reporting into the Category Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing 2 x junior resource and you will be responsible for managing end to end procurements assigned to ensure value for money and compliance with PA23 is achieved on all requirements engaged.
