Domestic Assistant in Serenita ARBD Care Home

Serenita Care Home is a well established service in Weston-super-Mare, set within a characterful Victorian residence close to the seafront. Supporting up to 34 residents, the home provides specialist care for individuals with mental health conditions, including alcohol related brain damage and Korsakoff's syndrome, within a structured, supportive and independence focused environment.

Role Overview
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia and mental health conditions. Your work will support the overall wellbeing of residents, helping to create a calm and welcoming space where they feel safe and at home.

You will carry out cleaning duties across residents' rooms, communal areas and shared spaces, ensuring high standards of hygiene and infection control are maintained at all times. Working closely with the wider team, you will support a well organised environment and contribute to the smooth running of the home.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability and a respectful approach, recognising the importance of maintaining dignity and privacy while working within residents' personal spaces.

Contract: Full Time and Part- Time

• £12.71 per hour
• Full Time or Part Time
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)

• A reliable and hardworking approach with good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A respectful and considerate approach when working in residents' rooms
• Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Willingness to learn and follow cleaning procedures and infection control guidance
• Previous cleaning or domestic experience is beneficial but not essential
