The role requires a broad range of multi-trade skills, with the ability to work across varied environments and deliver high-quality workmanship. You will be expected to complete works efficiently, safely and to the required specification, ensuring minimal disruption to building users and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, professionalism and customer service.

What you'll do

  • Undertake project-based works, including upgrades, improvements and refurbishment programmes across a range of commercial and social housing-related facilities.
  • Support the delivery of long-term maintenance frameworks and contractual works, ensuring all activities are completed in line with agreed specifications, timescales and quality standards.
  • Work within occupied and operational buildings, coordinating activities to minimise disruption to residents, staff, visitors and other building users.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, company procedures and client-specific requirements.
  • Follow risk assessments, method statements and site-specific safety procedures, using appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment, ensuring work areas are left secure and suitable for continued use.
  • Complete all works right first time wherever possible, maintaining productivity and minimising repeat visits.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, contract managers, site representatives and building users, providing updates on progress, timescales and any issues affecting delivery.
  • Accurately record completed works, materials used, job details and any additional requirements through handheld devices or the company's job management system.
  • Identify and report any defects, additional works or potential risks encountered during the course of a job.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are used safely and responsibly.

You Will Need

  • Proven ability across multiple trades, ideally within social housing settings
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a core trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, plastering).
  • Experience working in occupied properties with a strong focus on customer care.

We Will Provide
