The energy transition is a generation-defining challenge. But we believe it's not just what it averts, but what it enables in our economy and society, that matters. We envision a world in which energy is clean, affordable and abundant, powering a new wave of industrial growth and social opportunity.
The energy industry's transition to clean energy is a fundamental enabler for every other industry's ability to reach net-zero. The transition also provides a huge opportunity to positively impact the human side of business: deeper customer relationships, consumer perception and talent attraction.
Helping energy and utilities organisations to harness the vast economic and societal potential of the energy transition and build a better future is our passion and purpose.
As part of the huge growth in demand in our Energy Transition & Utilities practice, we are seeking an experienced Director to join our highly talented team, with responsibility for originating, shaping and delivering major advisory, consulting and transformation services across our sector.
Our clients within Energy Transition & Utilities include those within the sub-sectors of Energy Networks, Energy Retail, Energy Central Markets, Water and Nuclear.
This role is designed to further expand and strengthen our position in Asset & Capital Performance. As a Director within our practice, you will help set direction, grow the business, own senior client and C-suite relationships, and orchestrate Capgemini capabilities across strategy, engineering, digital, data and delivery. You will combine deep Asset & Capital expertise with strong consulting and commercial skills, originating opportunities and leading major transformations across the asset and capital investment lifecycle, including helping clients harness AI, data and digital technologies to transform how capital projects are delivered safely to: time, plan, cost quality whilst maximising the operational performance of the asset.
In this role, you will:
Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to the growth, market position and capability of the business through activities in the following categories:
Originate, shape and convert opportunities by using Capgemini relationships and your own senior network; lead proposals, bids and client conversations, develop account pipeline and collaborate across the business to bring the best capabilities to clients
Lead campaign and proposition development, points of view, whitepapers and market-facing activity, while contributing to practice operations, recruitment and the development of our Asset & Capital offerings and intellectual property
Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
We'd love to meet someone with:
You will bring the following key skills and behaviours:
At the forefront of our work to help solve some of the biggest challenges in the UK and beyond, you'll be working with like-minded individuals as part of our leadership team.
We thrive on cooperation rather than competition. We're not perfect, we're constantly striving to improve the way we work together as an organisation, and the way we deliver for our clients.
Great team players thrive with Capgemini, and we really do live our values, including Teamwork, Honesty, Boldness, and Entrepreneurship. We can promise a collegiate working environment, challenge by supportive colleagues, and the space to get the future you want.
At Capgemini we don't just believe in Diversity & Inclusion, we actively go out to making it a working reality. Driven by our core values and Active Inclusion Campaign, we build environments where you can bring your whole self to work.
We aim to build an environment where employees can enjoy a positive work-life balance. We embed hybrid working in all that we do and make flexible working arrangements the day-to-day reality for our people. All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements.
Employee wellbeing is vitally important to us as an organisation. We see a healthy and happy workforce a critical component for us to achieve our organisational ambitions. To help support wellbeing we have trained 'Mental Health Champions' across each of our business areas. We have also invested in wellbeing apps such as Thrive and Peppy. Our teams organise activities like reverse mentoring sessions to ensure that we connect across our teams beyond our hierarchy.
We're also focused on using tech to have a positive social impact. So, we're working to reduce our own carbon footprint and improve everyone's access to a digital world. It's something we're really serious about. In fact, we were even named as one of the world's most ethical companies by the Ethisphere Institute for the 10th year. When you join Capgemini, you'll join a team that does the right thing.
Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
