CORE TASKS
You'll support the team across a varied range of matters, which may include:
- Assist legal colleagues with a broad range of property litigation matters, including disputes relating to commercial property, dilapidations, nuisance, trespass, possession actions and enforcement proceedings.
- Manage routine aspects of landlord and tenant work, including opposed and unopposed lease renewal proceedings under Part II of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, preparing notices, court documentation and supporting case management activities.
- Take ownership of an allocated caseload, ensuring compliance with court timetables, procedural requirements and client service standards.
- Draft correspondence, witness statements, court forms and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant legislation, case law and procedural developments.
- Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, courts, surveyors and other third parties.
- Assist with disclosure exercises, document review and evidence management.

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and client service through the effective use of legal technology and innovative working practices.
- Maintain accurate electronic matter files and ensure data is recorded and managed in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
Be aware of Brodies' information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all times.
