A career without limits

As the nation's flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It's something we've been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world's first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It's the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you're inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role: Data Product Delivery Lead

This role is responsible for the delivery, adoption, and performance of data and insight products within a specific business directorate. Acting as the single point of accountability for the product lifecycle, it connects business needs with data capabilities, ensuring products are designed, delivered, and managed to meet strategic goals.

The role spans product strategy, roadmap definition, delivery oversight, and in-life optimisation. It works closely with delivery squads, business stakeholders, and central data teams to prioritise work, remove blockers, and ensure products deliver sustainable value.

The role also supports alignment across the wider organisation by identifying reusable opportunities and sharing delivery best practices.

What you'll do

  • Engage business stakeholders to understand priorities, advocate for key data products, and drive adoption across directorates.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and value-led prioritisation across the product lifecycle.
  • Drive the net lifetime value of data and insight products by managing their delivery, quality, and ongoing optimisation in line with business needs.
  • Join up use cases and delivery efforts across directorates, identifying opportunities to reuse or scale data products across British Airways.
  • Track delivery progress and hold delivery squads accountable for milestones, dependencies, and timely issue resolution.
  • Mitigate risks and manage dependencies across squads and major IT programmes to enable successful product delivery.
  • Lead quality assurance across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring standards, methods, and governance gates are met.
  • Support continuous improvement by embedding delivery feedback loops and sharing lessons learned across delivery teams.
  • Ensure compliance of data products with BA and external data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Represent the product portfolio within the wider data function, escalating blockers and enabling product squads to deliver value at pace.

What you'll bring to British Airways

  • Strategic & Commercial Thinking: Applies commercial context and awareness to guide prioritisation, delivery trade-offs, and product decisions.
  • Data Literacy & Interpretation: Drives data-informed thinking and decision-making across teams and projects, using insight to shape product value.
  • Decision Making & Impact: Applies structured and critical thinking to guide practical, well reasoned decisions in product development and delivery.
  • Customer Focused: Considers customer impact in day-to-day decisions. Supports adoption of products and adapts work to improve user outcomes.
  • Delivery & Accountability: Manages time and workload efficiently, flags blockers, and supports others to meet delivery goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manages stakeholders with empathy and clarity, ensuring shared understanding and alignment across teams.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Demonstrates resilience and learning agility by proactively adapting plans and identifying new ways to solve delivery challenges.
  • Growth & Development: Shares knowledge, encourages peer development, and supports continuous improvement across teams.
  • Communication & Influence: Influences others through clear, well-structured content. Leads discussions and drives delivery alignment.

Your experience

  • Proven experience in managing delivery of data and analytics products, preferably within a large or complex organisation.
  • Strong track record of working with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business needs and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrable understanding of data product lifecycle management, including development, in-life support, and optimisation.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and managing expectations across technical and non[1]technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product-led delivery approaches in a data or technology environment.
  • Understanding of data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance considerations in a regulated environment.
  • Prior experience in coordinating or influencing delivery teams and managing interdependencies across multiple initiatives
